Recognizing the traditional territories where QRbolt operates

Last updated: January 2025

QRbolt is designed and operated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations in a city also called Vancouver. Our infrastructure and datacenters also run on these lands. We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, learn and contribute to the progress of all people living on these lands and waters.

Our Commitment

As a company operating on these traditional territories, we recognize the ongoing impacts of colonization and the importance of acknowledging the First Nations whose lands we occupy. This acknowledgement is not just a statement, but a commitment to:

  • Recognize the historical and ongoing presence of Indigenous peoples
  • Respect the rights, traditions, and sovereignty of First Nations
  • Support reconciliation efforts in our community
  • Continue learning about the history and culture of these lands
  • Build meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities

About the Nations

xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam)

The Musqueam people have lived in the Fraser River delta for thousands of years. Their traditional territory includes much of what is now Vancouver, Richmond, Delta, and surrounding areas.

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish)

The Squamish Nation's traditional territory extends from North Vancouver, Howe Sound, and the Squamish River watershed. They have a rich history of fishing, hunting, and gathering in these lands.

səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh)

The Tsleil-Waututh Nation, meaning "People of the Inlet," have lived in the Burrard Inlet area for thousands of years. Their traditional territory includes North Vancouver, Burnaby, and surrounding areas.
